    What is Oat Milk?

Oat milk is a plant-based, dairy-free milk produced from oat grains. It has a creamy texture and an oatmeal-like, slightly nutty taste.

Due to its relatively neutral flavour and creamy texture, oat milk is one of the best alternatives to dairy milk in coffees and lattes.

    Ingredients and Variations

Honey - Use good quality honey, ideally a classic type such as acacia honey, but you can also use flavored honey if desired.

Oat Milk - Use unsweetened oat milk since honey will provide enough sweetness.

For a super creamy latte, use barista oatmilk, although this has more calories than the classic type.

Vanilla Extract - an optional flavour enhancer.

Espresso - You'll need a shot of your preferred espresso for each serving. For a stronger latte, double the espresso.

How to Make Honey Oatmilk Latte

Start by adding honey and a splash of warm water to your serving glass.

Add vanilla extract, if using, and give it a stir to dissolve the honey.

For a cold latte, add lots of ice!

Top up with warm or cold oat milk (tip: use a milk frother for a creamy latte!)

Finally, add a shot or two of espresso. Give it a good stir, and serve!

    How to Serve

This latte is best served in the mornings or during the day (due to its caffeine content).

Serve at breakfast with Honey Pecan Oatmeal Cookies or Almond Milk Pancakes. In summer, serve over ice and a cold breakfast treat such as Frozen Strawberry Yogurt Granola Cups.

In the earl afternoon, you can serve this honey latte with Taiwanese Castella Cake.

    Making Ahead and Storing

This latte is best served freshly brewed.

    FAQs

    Can I make this vegan?

Due to the nature of honey, this recipe is not vegan-friendly.

For a vegan option, use vegan-friendly maple syrup instead of honey.
