- 2 tsp. good quality matcha powder
- 80 mL hot water (not boiling, ideally around 80°C or 175°F)
- 1-2 scoops vanilla gelato or ice cream (use vegan gelato or ice cream for a vegan version)
Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any clumps. Add the hot water and whisk vigorously until the matcha is completely dissolved and frothy.
Place 1-2 scoops of your chosen gelato or ice cream into a serving bowl or glass.
Pour the hot matcha shot gently over the gelato.
Serve immediately.
