This refreshing Pineapple Banana Smoothie comes together in under 5 minutes and makes a nutritious breakfast or snack.

  • 425 g pineapple cut into chunks (2 cups)
  • 1 medium-sized banana frozen
  • 1 tbsp. honey see notes for vegan
  • 2 tsp. shredded coconut + extra for topping
  • tsp. vanilla extract
  • 60 g low-fat plain Greek Yogurt or any other plain, coconut, or vanilla yogurt (¼ cup) see notes for vegan
  • 180 mL plant-based milk e.g., coconut milk, soya milk, rice milk, unsweetened almond milk or oat milk (¾ cup)


  • Place all ingredients in a kitchen blender and mix until smooth. If mixture is too thick, add more milk or water. Adjust honey to taste. Top with extra shredded coconut as desired.


For vegan, substitute Greek yogurt with ¼ cup coconut cream. Substitute honey with maple syrup.
